Data catalogue API temporary unavailable

Due to some technical difficulties on the K8S cluster this morning, where we experienced an impact on the availability of the data catalogue API. This means all services related to searching, browsing and visualising of EO data were affected. Nominal operations resumed on 11:53 CET. The root cause was investigated and we are preparing to install additional safeguard to protect us from a similar breakdown. Apologies for any inconvenience experienced.

Release of the Copernicus Data Space Ecosystem

Less than six weeks after the official kick-off meeting, ESA is proud to release the Copernicus Data Space Ecosytem at the EU Space Conference. The Copernicus Data Space Ecosystem is ready to welcome users and offers initial services to access a wide range of Earth observation data. The Copernicus Data Space Ecosytem will be continuously upgraded over the upcoming months. Users of the Copernicus Data Hub are encouraged to re-register on the web portal and migrate their workflows before July 2023.

Commission welcomes a new service to better access and exploit the EU's Copernicus satellites data

The Commission welcomes the procurement of a new Copernicus data access service following the signature today of a contract between the European Space Agency and a consortium led by T-Systems International. This service will empower users with immediate access to extremely large amounts (petabytes) of earth observation digital data from the Copernicus Sentinel satellites constellation.
